Parkwood Retirement Resort (Vernon, BC)
This position is a part-time opportunity working 3-4 days per week.

Marketing and Leasing / Lifestyle Consultant

Summary:

Regency Retirement Resorts, the leader in Okanagan senior living for 23 years is looking for a dynamic individual to add to our Marketing and Leasing department. Regency Resorts were built on family values to support local independent seniors in our amenity rich resorts, and we continue to do so today! The role of Marketing and Leasing / Lifestyle Consultant is a critical role within the company, as you are counted on to provide a truly positive journey for our residents, reducing their burdens they might have looking after their own home, and opening their opportunities to live a rich, social, independent retirement.  This entails creating not only a positive experience with potential residents and their families but being a centrepiece within our Okanagan communities.

Job Description:

The Regency Marketing and Leasing / Lifestyle Consultant is to first build a database of potential clients through prospecting opportunities in the community or generating leads through additional sources.  Then, provide first point of contact with interested parties, whether potential residents or their families, and continue to nurture. Your role is to provide information and ask pertinent questions to determine suitability in the resorts. After first point of contact, the candidate would utilize information gained and stored within a CRM program, and then continue to nurture that prospect, providing comprehensive tours of the facilities, understanding how to overcome objections through data driven knowledge, and leading a potential resident to making the best possible decision for their future. Sometimes that is towards our resorts, sometimes it is to other providers, or to stay where they currently reside.

In addition to nurturing prospective residents, the Marketing and Leasing / Lifestyle Consultant will be expected to organize and attend events in both the community and in our resorts. The planning and organization of these events are determined and worked on together with a small, supportive, professional and fun team. These events are intended to not only promote the Regency brand, generate new leads, and to nurture current prospects.

A “normal day” might include contacting 10-20 interested leads through both phone calls and emails in the morning, scheduling and offering tours in a resort, and following up those prospects currently in the funnel. This might be followed by planning for an upcoming event working alongside a resort Senior Resort Management team including Activities Coordinator, GM, Food Services Manager, etc. or with the Regency Marketing Coordinator and Director of Leasing and Marketing.  The ideal candidate might then travel to a planned event such as a Canada Day Celebration downtown, outdoor event, or host a Car Show, or a Golf tournament, etc.  You might hand out items, collect names through raffle items and/or mingle with guests, and offer guided tours.

Qualifications:

Although no formal education is required, having strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, understanding the need of prospecting, and utilizing different closing techniques is important.  Our Marketing teams understand the needs to be present in the senior communities, and feeling comfortable understanding the needs and concerns of seniors is key to this position. As this position does require the ideal candidate to truly be a “brand ambassador” it is expected that the candidate is professional in appearance, has a high level of energy and a positive attitude.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Event organization, planning and execution.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Driven to successful leasing is important, but knowing when to provide space and time is equally as important.
Payrate: $28.00-$30.00/Hour
