Reporting to the Executive Chef the Prep Cook is responsible for preparation and delivery of all foods for residents, guests and employees.
-This role will be a Full-time position with weekend availability required.
-7:00am 7:00pm (8 Hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities
As an employee of Regency Retirement Resorts, you are a member of a highly energetic team, assisting the Cooks and Executive Chef as directed and performing cleaning activities in all Food and Beverage areas of the Resort within established guidelines and procedures as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a level of conduct, personal grooming and appearance that meets the standards of the Resort.
Prepares and cleans items such as vegetables and fruit by procedures such as slicing, dicing, peeling and grating.
When requested by the Cook, prepares items such as meat, fish and poultry by procedures such as grinding, flouring and breading.
Prepares food items such as salads and desserts by procedures such as combining, mixing and/or blending ingredients; measures, mixes, grates and/or blends food ingredients.
Assists Cook in plating up food for meals and meal delivery.
Assists Food and Beverage Servers as needs require.
Delivers food items from storage areas to work areas; removes food items from packaging, cans and/or freezer; labels, packages and transfers food items to freezer storage.
Withdraws food items from freezer for plating or heating; rotates food items in freezer as directed.
Washes, scrubs, rinses and dries pots and all related accessories, including operation of the dish washer.
Washes floors, walls and ceilings in the kitchen areas and cleans all necessary kitchen equipment as directed.
Checks, receives and stores supplies.
Keeps work area clean and organized, maintains equipment, including breaking down boxes and sorting recyclables.
Uses supplies and food appropriately to avoid waste.
Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Executive Chef.
Works toward creating a team environment within the facility through positive interactions with other departments and staff.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and organizational information and displays an attitude that shows respect and maintains the spirit, dignity and individuality of the Residents. Communicates any information to the department supervisor that may assist in maintaining the Resident’s health, safety and happiness.
Familiarizes and adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with Residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.
Assists in the orientation process of new employees.
Performs other related duties and multi-tasking functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
Recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the hospitality industry. Food Safe Certificate
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
