This regional role will support the Southwestern Ontario region, overseeing 6 retirement homes from London to Windsor.

  

As our next Regional Manager, Health and Wellness, in collaboration with site management, regional leader and support office teams, you will play a pivotal role in making operational and clinical decisions that prioritize the well-being of residents. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of nursing and clinical programs while upholding the organization's policies and relevant legislation.

Your responsibilities will encompass core areas such as developing essential clinical programs, policies, and training materials. You will leverage your subject matter expertise to train Health and Wellness Managers, facilitating regional implementation of programs and providing ongoing support to ensure compliance and comprehension. Frequent visits to communities within your designated region will be conducted to assess the operational efficiency of policies and the quality of practice programs. This will involve evaluating adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures, while also gaining a holistic understanding of resident services operations.

You’ll participate in the development and implementation of operational materials, forms, and templates tailored for resident services. In addition, your role will involve active participation in planning, leading, and coordinating strategies to elevate quality practices. This will entail conducting needs assessments, crafting effective learning tools, establishing robust evaluation methods, and facilitating program delivery.

Your experience:

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse from the applicable provincial professional regulatory body;

  • Strong people leadership skills gained through 5 years of management experience, preferably in the retirement sector;

  • Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, acts, program standards, and other pertinent provincial, federal and municipal legislation which influence the operation of resident care in retirement residences;

  • Experience developing and implementing policies and ensuring adherence;

  • Strong business acumen with sound knowledge of financials and budgets;

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel extensively within area of responsibility.
