This is a Hybrid role with the expectation to be on site and/or in the office up to 3 days a week


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Performance and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst, Business Performance and Analysis will support Sites with business case modeling and proactive analysis of financial statements. The manager creates, analyzes and makes recommendations on site level strategic decisions to improve financial performance and reduce risks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain performance management tools to improve financial outcomes, enhance business performance, and mitigate risks.
  • Provide proactive financial and operational guidance to Operations and BP&A Managers, leveraging internal and external data for decision-making (e.g., pricing, occupancy).
  • Deliver management reporting, including variance analyses, trends identification, and actionable recommendations to optimize business outcomes.
  • Create, monitor, and update financial models, business cases, and reports that project short-term and long-term performance, supporting strategic planning efforts.
  • Analyze and rationalize trends through event-driven and ad-hoc analyses to provide insights into resource prioritization and business opportunities.
  • Support centralized processes to consolidate reporting and enable capacity-building for BP&A managers.
  • Monitor asset performance, including occupancy levels, rental rates, NOI, and P&L metrics versus budgets and business plans, and follow up on significant variances.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of tools, standards, and best practices to enhance operational planning, expense management, and resource allocation.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on strategic projects and other initiatives assigned by leadership.
  • Promote the organization’s values, ethics, and integrity as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
  • Complete all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation (or in progress) is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance or related experience, with a focus on analytics and decision support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence tools for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, solve complex problems, and provide sound recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive, motivated, and capable of driving success independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare or hospitality industry, with knowledge of regulatory standards, is an advantage.
