Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna.  This position is on site at the new location in Glenmore within Kelowna.

Job Description:


Under the direction of the General Manager, the Active Living Manager will be involved in creating and managing diverse activities and social programs to enrich residents' lives while fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include developing engaging events, collaborating with community partners, and motivating resident participation.

The position entails supervising and evaluating staff, coordinating with other departments, managing budgets, and ensuring quality standards.

Additional duties include producing communication materials, organizing transportation, hosting tours, and maintaining confidentiality and respect for residents' dignity.

The role also supports employee orientation, contributes to special events, and aligns with organizational policies and goals.

  • Work Hours are primarily Monday to Thursday, but flexibility is required based on need (Evenings and Weekends in addition to daytime) – to be confirmed
  • Number of Hours: Full time 30 hours per week

Education and Experience:

  • Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the hospitality industry related to the area of seniors living.
  • Serving it Right
  • Class 4 driver’s license.

Skills for Success:

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions.
  • Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with residents.  Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Publisher.
