Join Our Team as a Housekeeper at Northwood Retirement Resort!
Location:
Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. This position is on site within Kelowna.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be performing housekeeping and cleaning activities in all areas of the Resort within established guidelines and procedures as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional conduct, grooming, and appearance in line with resort standards.
- Clean and disinfect Resident suites, public areas, offices, washrooms, and common areas.
- Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry.
- Restock housekeeping supplies and report damaged or inoperable equipment.
- Respond to unscheduled cleaning needs due to the Resident population.
- Foster a team environment through positive interactions with staff and departments.
- Ensure confidentiality of Resident and organizational information, promoting their health, safety, and happiness.
- Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Related housekeeping experience an asset.
- WHMIS
Skills for Success:
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
Salary and Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position (30 hrs per week) Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday requiring flexibility to include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate resident needs and special events.
- The hourly wage for this position is $19.21.
